Buyer's guide

How to choose a research peptide company

Most suppliers claim the same purity figure. What separates them is whether the paperwork behind that figure can be traced to the vial in your hand. Here is what to ask any supplier — and what we can show you.

For Research Use Only

All products listed are supplied strictly as laboratory reagents for in-vitro research and analytical work conducted by qualified professionals. They are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or medical devices, and must not be administered to humans or animals. No product on this site is approved by the FDA for human use.

Four questions worth asking before you order

A COA tied to your lot number

Analytical results only apply to the lot they were run on. Ask which lot you will receive and request that report — a single undated PDF reused across every order is not evidence about your vial.

At Peptide Lounge: Every research compound carries a lot number on the label, and we email the laboratory document issued for that lot on request.

A stated method, not just a number

“99% pure” means nothing without the method behind it. Purity should be reported as integrated peak area by RP-HPLC, with identity confirmed separately and net peptide content reported on its own line.

At Peptide Lounge: Purity figures on our product pages are RP-HPLC peak-area results. Identity, net peptide content, water content and endotoxin are reported separately on the COA.

Policies published, not promised

Returns, out-of-specification replacement and refund timelines should be readable before you order rather than negotiated after a problem.

At Peptide Lounge: Our refund, shipping and privacy terms are published pages, not support-ticket answers.

A supplier that stays in its lane

Dosing charts, protocols and human-use guidance on a reagent store are a warning sign about how the operation is run, not a service.

At Peptide Lounge: We do not publish dosing, administration or protocol guidance for any product, and support staff cannot supply it.

Certificates of analysis

Certificates of analysis are lot-specific. Request the report for the lot you received and we will email the laboratory document, including the analytical results for that lot.

Reports are issued per lot, so we do not publish a single fixed sample in place of the document that applies to your material. Request the report for the lot you received — or for the lot currently in stock before you order — and we will email the laboratory document as issued.
